The sweeping season is in full swing now but in recent weeks here at Alfred Poppins we have been asked to attend properties where another sweep has been and left most of the soot in the chimney or has failed to remove a birds nest.
Any fool can can buy a cheap set of rods and stick them through your chimney but you have to know what your doing and what to look out for, that is why we continue to invest in our business and training and we are members of NACS (national association of chimney sweeps) where we continue to learn new methods and techniques in sweeping.
At this time of year when you are lighting your fire it is important to know you are doing so safely and the you and your family can relax in front of it.
At the end of your sweep you should be issued with a certificate of sweeping and as we are members of NACS our certificates are recognised by all house insurance policies so you know you can use your fire without worry.
